Known limitations
Arugula is in beta. This page lists what isn’t available on every platform, and the gaps you’re most likely to run into.

Installing
Section titled “Installing”The Windows installer isn’t signed: SmartScreen asks you to choose More info, then Run anyway.
Features
Section titled “Features”A few features have limits worth knowing before you rely on them.
- Browser blocks on ports and editor blocks are off until you give the daemon a listener for them, and they aren’t relayed through Arugula control: the device showing them has to reach the machine itself (Blocks).
- Arugula reads the screens of Claude Code and Codex in a terminal. Other agents (aider, gemini, opencode) count as agents, but only hooks, terminal notifications and the bell say when they need you.
- GitLab issues aren’t shown (GitLab merge requests are), and Forgejo has no way to rerun checks from Arugula.
Arugula control
Section titled “Arugula control”The hosted Arugula control is free during the beta and provided as is; its terms say what that means. Running your own control isn’t supported for now; without control, Arugula works over your tailnet.
